EN-FACE
En-face
The first of the series created during my studies emerges from a direct confrontation with my own face. The drawings, made in pencil, have an almost explosive character — lines and traces of graphite accumulate and detonate across the surface of the paper. The drawing matter grows rapidly, forming portraits created on the edge of control and impulse. It is a stage of intense experimentation with the energy of drawing and an attempt to find a personal language of expression.
